Adding Value Within The Green Industry
How we helped build and convey the many valuable benefits
our client offers members of the green industry.
Background
Over thirty years ago, a group of successful landscape industry veterans created an entity to provide their community with specialized business services. The type of services they knew from years of experience were needed to thrive in the business: Insurance, OSHA compliance, Legal and HR Consultation, Safety Training, Vehicle and Equipment Financing, and more.
Since that time, Golden Oak Co-operative (now known as the Green Industry Co-Op), has helped the Green Industry grow and prosper, by playing a substantial role in supporting and giving back to the industry and its Members.
“From a standing start, Julian and his team took an idea and launched it as a website that makes exciting the many services that we offer. We continue to see results from this major effort and from the ongoing marketing tactics they continue to implement to promote our cause.”

Marketing Strategy
For nearly a decade, our client Landscape Contractors Insurance Services (LCIS) had been providing their customers with a set of insurance related business services as a source of added value. In order for LCIS to focus primarily on its mainstay insurance services, but continue to offer the added value services provided within their Member Benefits program as a separate program, the Green Industry Co-Op was born. An important by-product of this effort was the opportunity for this separate entity to attract new Members, who could, in turn, be introduced to LCIS insurance services.
Work
The stated mission of the Co-Op is “to strengthen the green industry community by providing powerful resources that make each industry member more productive and successful." Our work entailed conveying that mission in a website that features the myriad business services available to Members for a small annual fee. Ongoing promotion takes the form of social, email and video (webinar) marketing efforts with a view to strengthening Member understanding of the need for safety in the industry, and also, to convey the many free benefits and features available to all Members, including access to free legal and HR counsel, free safety training, equipment and vehicle financing, and much more.
